Down in the groves
The Blue Skies journey starts deep in the coconut groves of Ghana, West Africa.
The tropical heat creates the perfect growing conditions for palm trees to flourish and produce the most mouth-watering coconuts. Coconut trees are grown 100% naturally using rainwater with thriving biodiversity all round the jungle. We grow our coconuts without any artificial input.
Selected By The Pros
Palm trees provide up to 50 coconuts per year. Nature selects the coconuts as they drop to the tropical floor when they are fully mature. They are then hand inspected by our local experts and dehusked at the farm to reduce transport waste. To produce creamy coconut milk, we select the best mature coconuts with a brown husk, rather than the younger green coconuts that are used to make coconut water.
A Coconut's Throw
Once harvested, our coconuts are gathered together and quickly transported down the road to our state-of-the-art ice cream factory ensuring they are processed at the peak of freshness.
Lovingly Hand Prepared
Each coconut is cracked with the greatest level of care to ensure only the freshest coconut flesh is extracted. The coconut flesh is then hand cut into smaller pieces and finally pressed into creamy coconut milk.
Filled & Chilled
Our fresh coconut milk is churned with other delicious natural ingredients such as fresh mango and passion fruit and finally frozen to make our award-winning ice creams.
A Circular Loop
Anything we don’t use in our delicious ice cream is delivered to our local composting site to help feed the next generation of trees… a true circular.
